Welcome! My name is Roberto Moreno and this is my game art portfolio.

I was born and raised in Berkeley, CA and have enjoyed drawing for as long as I can remember. My parents even have a photo of me huddled by classmates as I drew a picture in Kindergarten! In addition to art, my second passion in life would have to be video games. Thanks to constantly nagging my dad as a kid, my brothers and I were able to enjoy almost every video game console that was available since the early 80's! Sorry, Mom.

After graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1993, I attended the California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA majoring in Illustration. I eventually realized that CCA wasn't the right school for me at that time, so I decided to give school a break, and went to work at various non-art related jobs. In 2003, due to my strong desire to fuse my passion for art and video games, I decided to enroll at the Art Institute of California - San Francisco. I graduated with honors in 2006, achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design, with emphasis on modeling & texturing environments for next-gen video games.

Two weeks after graduation, I landed my first job in game development at Visual Concepts as an Environment Artist on "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" for the XBOX360 and PS3. After that project was completed, I worked at Crystal Dynamics as a Jr. Material Artist on "Tomb Raider: Underworld" for the XBOX360, PS3, and PC. Currently, I'm working at Electronic Arts Redwood Shores as an Associate Object Modeler on "The Sims 3" for the PC and Mac.
